Living room couch or 2 chairs
TV
Miscellaneous household items (lamps, coffee table, kitchen mixer, etc)
All items need to have a 1980s vibe :)

Strawn ISD staff will return for a teacher work day Monday, January 9th, and we will welcome our students back Tuesday, January 10th, with the first bell ringing at 7:40 AM and the tardy bell at 7:44 AM. Please remember to send students with a refillable water bottle!

Mrs. Abbott's 2nd Graders have completed their festive gingerbread homes! She mentioned a few times not to lick the icing, but who could resist such a temptation?

Santa Claus made a stop this morning to see some very special Greyhounds! Thank you so much for stopping by!

'Tis the season of giving, and Mrs. Bowen's third graders have set a beautiful example by raising $158.29 for the International Rescue Committee. This organization was founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein to provide global humanitarian aid and relief to refugees and those displaced by war, persecution, and natural disaster with a focus on health, education, economic wellbeing, power, and safety. The International Rescue Committee is matching all gifts through January 2, 2023.
To give you an idea of what this money can do, here are a few examples:
$50 can provide 8 emergency cookstoves.
$75 - 13 or more blankets
$100 - 4 solar lamps
$250 - medical care for 9 children
$500 - 1 mobile medical clinic
